Primrose Herd create their succulent back bacon from the loin of their native breed pigs, making it much leaner than streaky. They hand cure their bacon for 14 days at their family farm in Cornwall, and slice it thicker than usual to make sure it's nice and crispy in the pan.
Family-run Primrose Herd produces premium-quality pork products in the beautiful Cornish countryside, in the heart of a World Heritage site. Taking a traditional, non-intensive approach to farming, Sally and Bill Lugg (alongside their 3 children) use tried-and-tested family recipes to create products with excellent marbling, perfect fat distribution and fantastic flavour.
