Farmfetch supports NSPCC at City Fine Wine Challenge

The NSPCC’s annual City Fine Wine Challenge is a fantastic event that brings together charitable giving – with an ambition to raise £200,000 for Childline – alongside a fun, fast-paced, interactive wine-tasting quiz and live prize auction.

This year, we were thrilled to support the NSPCC as a prize donor, supplying three incredible 10-bottle English wine hampers for the live auction, including a selection of award-winning wines from our generous partners Ark Wines, Pattingham Vineyard and Dillions Vineyard.

Taking place on 7th March, the City Fine Wine Challenge’s 2024 edition was an enormous success. Over 240 attendees gathered at London’s One Great George Street for an evening hosted by national wine columnist Matthew Jukes and noted TV personality Martin Roberts, host of the BBC’s Homes Under the Hammer.

The event’s advance online auction raised £56,290 alone, with a grand total of £195,000 (and counting!) raised including the proceeds from the live auction. All funds raised go directly to the NSPCC’s Childline service; the free and confidential 24-hour support line for children and young people.

It was an honour for us to be able to support such a worthy cause, and we’d like to extend a huge thank you to Ark Wines, Pattingham and Dillions for helping us provide our incredible wine hamper prizes – their kind contributions helped raise a whopping £6,000 in total for the NSPCC!
