Founded in the East Anglian Stour Valley as a passion project by Hans, Kristin and their daughter Amanda, Ark Wines is now a locally renowned producer of small batch, sustainable wines that pack a real punch of flavour.

The clay rich soil that sits below the vineyard is perfectly suited for powerful, impactful grape varieties - think Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Gamay - giving Ark Wines the ability to produce incredible wines with interesting blends. Every single grape from the vineyard is picked by hand, dried on straw, before being processed, barrelled and fermented on site. Their wine is left unfiltered, giving it a wonderfully natural taste and adding a delicious aroma.

Ark Wines is a family-run vineyard and winery located in the picturesque East Anglian Stour Valley, established in 2019. The vineyard, spanning 6 hectares, is home to over 20,000 vines, including varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Bacchus. These carefully selected grape varieties are integral to their production of distinctive still wines.

The winemaking process at Ark Wines is a hands-on affair. Grapes are handpicked to ensure quality and then processed on-site in their dedicated winery. This meticulous approach has led to the creation of unique wines like Ripasso Noir, reflecting their commitment to excellence and innovation in winemaking.

Founded by Swedish immigrants Hans and Kristin, along with their daughter Amanda, Ark Wines embodies a deep familial passion for viticulture. Their Scandinavian heritage informs their approach, combining traditional methods with modern techniques to produce wines that are both innovative and respectful of the natural environment.

Sustainability is a core principle at Ark Wines. The vineyard employs organic practices, harnesses solar energy, and implements water conservation measures to reduce its environmental footprint. This commitment to sustainability not only benefits the environment but also enhances the quality and purity of their wines.
