The latest creation from the team at Isle of Mull Seaweed, their Seaweed Hot Sauce will elevate any dish to whole new levels of mouthwatering deliciousness. The perfect combination of moreish umami seaweed and hot chilli peppers, it's fantastic with meats, seafood and even salads.
Made with wild kelp seaweed that grows around the whole island, it's sustainably harvested to protect local wildlife. 150ml bottle.
Launched in 2019 by seaweed enthusiast and Isle of Mull resident Tara Macphail, Isle of Mull Seaweed now produces a range of seaweed chutneys and sauces that celebrate the versatile umami flavour of native Scottish seaweed.
Harvested at low tide from right around the island, the seaweed kelp Tara and the team use is incredibly high in nutrients, providing a rich source of iodine, calcium, iron and magnesium. It's gathered with great care to ensure healthy and rapid re-growth of wild seaweed stocks, allowing the team to create a delicious product without negatively impacting local wildlife. Fantastic on pizzas, cheese, meat and fish, you'll never run out of new uses for seaweed chutney!
