Calling all bee lovers - this is the perfect chance to meet, learn and share ideas with skilled beekeepers at Beeble's HQ in the stunning Wiltshire countryside.
This is the ideal gift for anyone with a passion for bees and beekeeping, whether it's your very first time getting up close and personal with a hive, or you're a seasoned professional. The day covers a range of skills, from the best ways to start a hive, to how to make honey whisky.
Itinerary
10am Start – Coffee and introductions
10.30am – An introduction to the bee, its life cycle and the home it really wants.
12.00pm – Inside a hive: Nicola Reed - founder of Beeble - shows how to open up a hive. This is a chance to handle the bees and see the hive's inner workings
1.30pm – Lunch
2.30pm – Countryside walk & talk to the apiary - where all the hives are kept.
4pm – Honey and mead tasting – learn anout the colours, thickness & flavours of various honeys, and learn how to make mead, candles and honey vodka.
4.30pm – How to Keep Bees in the City: all you need to know about keeping bees in the city, including equipment and environment.
5pm – Quiz and Cocktails
6pm – Certificates, Gifts and Carriages
