Dunnet Bay Distillers, founded in 2014 by Martin and Claire Murray in Caithness, Scotland, specialises in handcrafted premium spirits. Inspired by their dream to return to Caithness, Martin's experience in chemical engineering and Claire's background in hospitality helped establish the distillery.
Their flagship product, Rock Rose Gin (a Farmfetch favourite!) is distilled in bespoke copper stills named Elizabeth and Margaret, honouring Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and Claire’s mother, respectively. The distillation process emphasises local botanicals, handcrafting each small batch to ensure superior quality. Dunnet Bay Distillers’ range includes award-winning gins, vodkas, and seasonal editions, with each bottle hand-filled, wax-sealed, and signed.
Their commitment to sustainability and innovation has earned them numerous accolades, including the 2019 Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year award. The distillery, which started as a two-person venture, now employs fourteen people and continues to grow, blending traditional methods with modern practices to create exceptional spirits enjoyed worldwide.
