Producer Spotlight: Land Chocolate

As avid chocoholics, we’re thrilled to introduce our latest exciting partner, Land Chocolate: an artisan bean-to-bar chocolate maker that’s redefining the craft chocolate scene. 

Founded in 2016 by chocolate maker Phil Landers, Land Chocolate started with a simple but ambitious mission: to create exceptional chocolate, crafted from the world’s finest cocoa beans. From his workshop in Bethnal Green, East London, Phil transforms ethically sourced cocoa beans into bars that highlight the rich, complex flavours unique to each bean.

Before starting Land, Phil spent years honing his craft, working as a pastry chef and gaining deep insight into the world of fine food. His love for chocolate led him to pursue intensive training in Copenhagen, where he immersed himself in the art of bean-to-bar chocolate making. Returning to London with newfound skills and a passion for ethical sourcing, Phil set up Land Chocolate to share his vision of what chocolate should be — pure, unadulterated, and a celebration of the cacao bean.

What makes Land Chocolate truly stand out is their commitment to quality at every stage of production. Phil and his team handle the entire chocolate-making process in-house, from roasting the cocoa beans to tempering the final bars. The workshop is powered by renewable energy, and all of the packaging is plastic-free and fully recyclable, reflecting the brand’s ethos of minimising their environmental footprint.

Each cocoa bean that makes its way to the Land workshop is meticulously sourced from sustainable farms around the world. The team works directly with farmers in regions such as Nicaragua and Colombia, building strong relationships based on transparency, quality, and respect for the land. These partnerships not only ensure ethical sourcing practices but also give Land Chocolate access to some of the most unique and flavourful beans in the world.
