Producer spotlight: Farm Butchers

At Farmfetch, we proud to work with butchers and farmers who are dedicated to quality and tradition. Our latest partner, Farm Butchers, founded by the team behind John Howe Turkeys in Tenterden, Kent, brings together the best of local farming and old-school butchery. Every cut is hand-selected by John Howe himself from nearby farms in the Kent countryside, ensuring the highest standards in sourcing.

The small team at Farm Butchers is experienced, with a deep understanding of traditional butchery techniques. Their approach is simple but effective: everything is done by hand at their Kent butchery, with each piece carefully broken down and prepared. This method guarantees the freshest possible meat and a level of attention that preserves the natural flavour of every cut.

Farm Butchers offers standout meats like Wild Venison Haunch, rack of Salt Marsh Lamb, and Cote de Boeuf. The Wild Venison Haunch delivers an earthy, rich taste that’s perfect for special occasions or slow roasting. The Salt Marsh Lamb, raised on Kent’s marshland, is known for its delicate, slightly sweet flavour - we're obsessed with their saddle of Lamb with Garlic & Rosemary stuffing. Their Rib of Beef, sourced from local heritage breed cattle, offers a deep, classic taste that’s ideal for roasting - simply enjoy with fries and béarnaise. Each cut is sourced from British farms and reflects the careful selection process that Farm Butchers prides itself on.

Farm Butchers began as a family farm venture. Lotland Farm, their base just outside Biddenden, has been in the Howe family for many generations. Now primarily a turkey and geese farm for the holiday season (check out John Howe turkey and goose here), it has long served as a source of local livestock. This farming heritage influences everything Farm Butchers does, with a focus on ethical practices and quality.

For those seeking farm-to-table quality, Farm Butchers brings a unique combination of farming knowledge and butchery skill. From Wild Venison Haunch to Salt Marsh Lamb and beautiful cuts of beef, every order at Farmfetch supports British farms and traditional butchery methods.
