Founded by the Crickmore family three generations ago, Fen Farm Dairy is one of the UK's most celebrated dairy producers, setting the standard for quality, taste and sustainable farming practices.

All of their award-winning cheeses, butters and ghees are produced from a happy herd of Montbeliarde cows - the absolute top breed for cheesemaking - who are free to roam the fertile marshland of the Waveney River Valley. As well as producing the Michelin-star chef favourite Baron Bigod cheese and a variety of other exciting dairy products, the team at Fen Farm are dedicated to sustainably farming their land and protecting the local ecosystems - they're on a mission to becoming carbon negative, souring the majority of their energy from renewable sources and taking a low-intervention approach to farming.

    Fen Farm Dairy

Fen Farm Dairy is a third-generation family farm in Suffolk, run by Jonny and Dulcie Crickmore. The farm has evolved from traditional dairy farming to becoming a leader in artisan cheese production. Their herd of Montbéliarde cows, known for their high-quality milk, graze on the rich Suffolk pastures, contributing to the unique flavour of Fen Farm’s products.

One of their standout creations is Baron Bigod, a raw milk brie-style cheese, which has gained national recognition. Fen Farm Dairy is also noted for being the first in the UK to install a raw milk vending machine, providing customers with fresh, unpasteurised milk directly from the farm.

Sustainability is at the heart of Fen Farm’s operations. They utilise renewable energy sources, including solar panels and anaerobic digestion, to reduce their carbon footprint. Their goal is to become carbon negative, reflecting their commitment to environmental stewardship.

The Crickmore family emphasises transparency and community connection, often engaging with their customers through farm tours and open days. This approach not only highlights their dedication to producing high-quality, sustainable dairy products but also fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of responsible farming practices among the public.
