The Farmfetch cocktail masterclass

Whether you're a seasoned mixologist or just getting started with cocktail making, mastering a few classic recipes is essential for impressing at a dinner party, or treating yourself to a delightful aperitif. To get you started, we've created a step-by-step guide on how to make three iconic cocktails using products from two of our favourite producers - Beeble’s Honey Whisky, and Ewenique’s creamy whey Vodka.

Espresso Martini

What you'll need:

  • 45ml Ewenique Vodka
  • 30ml coffee liqueur
  • 30ml freshly brewed espresso
  • 10-15ml sugar syrup (depending how sweet you like it)
  • Plenty of ice
  • Some coffee beans to garnish

How it's done:

  1. Begin by brewing a shot of fresh espresso and letting it cool down
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice to chill the ingredients and the glass (you can even freeze your glasses ahead of time if you have space)
  3. Add the Ewenique vodka, coffee liqueur, freshly brewed espresso, and simple syrup to the shaker
  4. Seal the shaker and shake for at least 15 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients
  5. Strain the mixture into your chilled martini glass
  6. Garnish with a few coffee beans on top

Honey Old Fashioned

What you'll need:

  • 60ml Beeble Honey Whiskey
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Plenty of ice
  • Orange or lemon Twist, and a glacier cherry for garnish

How it's done:

  1. Add a large ice cube or a few smaller ice cubes to a whiskey glass
  2. In a mixing glass, combine 1 teaspoon of honey with a small amount of warm water until it's fully dissolved
  3. Mix in the Beeble whiskey & the Angostura bitters
  4. Fill the mixing glass with ice, then stir gently until chilled
  5. Strain the mixture into your glass, and add your fruit twist and cherry to finish

White Russian

What you'll need:

  • 45 ml Ewenique Vodka
  • 30 ml coffee liqueur
  • 30 ml double cream
  • Plenty of ice
  • Chocolate shavings for an even more indulgent tipple

How it's done:

  1. Fill a short glass with ice cubes, and pour the vodka & coffee liqueur over the ice
  2. Carefully float the cream on top by pouring it over the back of a spoon held just above the surface of the liquid
  3. Give it a slight stir just before drinking to blend all of the flavours, and top with chocolate shavings‍

We hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we do at Farmfetch HQ. And remember to experiment - add ingredients, play with quantities and mix up the garnishes to put your own stamp on these classics.
