The beans for this incredible coffee from Four Rivers Coffee Co are decaffeinated at origin, preserving the flavour and delivering a final product that has a balance of sweetness and heavy mouthfeel. We recommend oat flat white!

Once picked, washed & dried for up to 20 days, the team on the ground in Colombia's Huila region start the natural decaffeination process using an organic compound produced during the fermentation process of sugarcane sourced from the Palmira region. The beans are steamed and submerged in the compound until 97% of the caffeine is removed, before a final steam to remove any traces of the compound.

Based in Hertford at the confluence of the rivers Lee, Rib, Mimran and Beane, Four Rivers Coffee Co go to great lengths to source their beans ethically from farmers around the world, helping to supporting their local communities. Each bean is then roasted to order at their Hertford HQ in their very own micro-roastery.
