Producer Spotlight: Introducing Duchess Farms

We're excited to welcome Duchess Farms to the Farmfetch family. Duchess Oil's story begins with Oscar's great grandmother, affectionately known as Duchess. Inspired by her legacy of resilience, determination, and a deep connection to their family farm, Oscar founded Duchess Oil in 2012.

Duchess Oil emerged as a tribute to a more authentic, farm-to-table approach in rapeseed oil production, eliminating mass production and unnecessary intermediaries. From planting to pressing, Duchess Oil is a year-long labour of love, with everything taking place on their family farm, ensuring nothing goes to waste - they even use the pressed seeds to feed their cows.

But Duchess Oil isn't just about tradition; it embraces innovation as well. Heritage grains were introduced, sourced by Abi Aspen, Head of Grains, in 2019. Their vision extends to a sustainable grain farming system that doesn't rely on synthetic chemicals, furthering their commitment to sustainability.
